As stated on the home page of this site, Data is the Truth of Your Business. You need good, quality data upon which to make quality business decisions. My goal is to help you achieve that goal.
Every application you run in your organization has a specific purpose, and the data each application uses is tailored around that purpose. When you have a lot of applications that have similar data needs, there tends to be a lot of similar data in individual “silos”, which can work against you. There are a number of strategies to address this problem, and all have their strengths and weaknesses. I’ll work with you to find the one that works best for you.
The way your applications access their own data can also be problematic. The way the application code is written may not have taken into consideration the problems encountered in accessing large amounts of data. We can evaluate the application queries and data structures to possibly improve performance by the introduction of proper indexes for the workload.
One of the ways you can improve the performance of your application is by designing the data structures to take advantage of the architecture of the underlying database engine. I’ve worked with SQL Server for over 25 years, and can help you get the most out of your data by helping you design the data structures to maximize their effectiveness.
Let me bring my experience to help you solve the problems you have managing and accessing your data. I’m looking forward to the opportunity.
