Today, as part of 24 Hours of PASS – Summit Preview, I presented a new session demonstrating how to build a server inventory. It’s important to maintain a regularly updated inventory so you know what needs to be done should you suffer the effects of disasters like last week’s hurricane in the Grand Bahamas, or a ransomware attack.
In the session I demonstrated Kendal Van Dyke’s excellent tool SQL Power Doc, which gathers the data from the servers you specify, and gives you all the details in a set of three Excel spreadsheets.
Here’s the deck from the presentation, and thanks to everyone who attended.
